Working Groups — Mountain Camp 2027

Formed from planning sync March 14, 2026

Purpose

Divide responsibilities across 2-3 working groups to outline top 10 priorities for next camp. Each group focuses on a specific domain.


Proposed Groups

1. Program Team

Focus: Speakers, content, schedule, session format

Leads: TBD

Key Tasks: - Featured speaker outreach (begin April 2026) - CFP management (Pretalx, closes Oct 11, 2026) - Session review and selection (late Oct 2026) - Schedule publication (Nov 15, 2026) - Keynote coordination (Dries fireside chat)


2. Marketing Team

Focus: Branding, promotion, social media, website, attendee acquisition

Leads: TBD

Key Tasks: - Website implementation with blökkli (Jens leads) - Website content migration — Jens to call with marketers to coordinate - Website refresh / rebrand (before DrupalCon Chicago) - Featured speaker announcements - Social media campaigns + testimonials for social media design - Media partner outreach - Ticket tier promotion - Add call-to-action encouraging community members to join the organisation - Migrate from Campaign Monitor to Mautic


3. Sponsorship Team

Focus: Sponsor acquisition, packages, fulfillment

Leads: TBD

Key Tasks: - Develop sponsorship packages - Prospectus design - Sponsor outreach - Sponsor fulfillment (post-event)


4. Logistics Team

Focus: Venue, catering, AV, travel, volunteers

Leads: TBD

Key Tasks: - Venue confirmation and setup - Catering coordination - AV/technical setup - Print materials - Volunteer coordination


5. Social/Activities Team

Focus: Pre-conference, social events, networking

Leads: TBD

Key Tasks: - Pre-conference activities (skiing, snowboarding) - Social events (fondue, torch walk) - CXO dinner coordination (idea) - Icebreakers (Pub Quiz)


6. Sprints Team

Focus: Contribution sprints, Drupal core

Leads: TBD

Key Tasks: - Sprint topics and mentors - Sprint sign-ups (Dec 2026) - Pre-conference contribution time
